Born in Damascus, Syria, George Khoury began his arts training under the direction of Michael Kircher, one of the most renowned artists at the time. Then under Sadek Kassis, one of the most successful sculptors, Khoury expanded his skills.
Traveling through Europe, he studied the Old Masters further honing his style. Later, Khoury was drawn to New York City, where he found himself expanding his range working with other Old Master devotees and finding particular interest in the art of portraiture, landscapes and still life.
He is a member of the American Society of Portrait Artists, the Tennessee Art League, and the Chestnut Group.
Mr. Khoury's work is included in many prominent private collections.
When not painting, George enjoys golf and the culinary arts.
